You know those weeks where you just feel good about everything?
Like when you peel a clementine perfectly, but on a larger scale?
Like when you peel a clementine perfectly, but on a larger scale?
This is one of those weeks for me.
Despite a couple frustrating days picking up Drew from school (more on that later), it's only Wednesday and it's been a great few days. I met some lovely ladies who I can't wait to get together with again Monday, I've been knocking off 28 Days of Love items and lastly I'm organizing an alumni watch party up here for my Cleveland Jayhawkers in March.
On top of that, the sun has been pouring through my windows while I work and the winter scenes picturesque everywhere. I know the icicles will melt and events will come and go, but I just feel like the world is hugging me all around this week.
Nothing feels better than going to a new event and hitting it off with others.... except maybe surprising people with random acts of kindness and seeing happiness take over their faces.
The world is working for me this week and I'm going with it.

Also wanted to share a quick update on this week's acts!
1. Adopted a rhino at our zoo.
2. Surprised freezing crossing guards with hot coffee.
3. Took a bunch of dimes to the library to help with late fees.
4. Signed up to be an Ohio organ an tissue donor.
Have YOU done any acts of kindness this week?

Beautiful winter scenery... I can't even remember what icicles look like! Loving your Acts of Kindness, so so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLove it. You are inspiring me to do some acts of kindness with my kids this month. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLesa certainly has. Every morning, when I wake up and see her beside me, it's an act of kindness.
ReplyDeleteOh i know this feeling! And its hard not to have one when it is so beautiful outside (i miss having real winter). Great idea with Acts of Kindness!!

ReplyDeleteGlad you are having one of those weeks, and I'm sure the acts of kindness are only helping! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the acts of kindness. On Monday, after Clara had an appt @ TX Children's Hospital for blood work, we stopped by a retirement center to visit our good friends mom, Ms. Viola. Ms. Viola was probably a little unsure of who I was but was so excited to meet Clara for the first time and see a little squishy baby.
ReplyDeleteThis post makes ME so happy. I'm so glad things are in the right place for you. Especially this time of year. That means so much. The Random Acts of Kindness is such a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up. Your happiness just may rub off on others.
As a librarian, I love the library idea! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you all adopted a rhino from your zoo! That is so cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower :-) I look forward to learning more about you!
Hi Sarah! I was excited to read your comment on my little blog, and started reading about your family here. Drew looks like such a sweet little man! Two little boys at first was super no big deal, but lately, oh lately, they are giving me a run for my money!!! But they are best friends, and hearing them giggle together makes all of their mischief worth it. Or at least most of their mischief worth it :) I haven't had much energy to blog lately, but I do lots of reading of other people's blogs, so I'm excited to have a new one to read!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family & this post has beautiful pictures! Thank you for leaving a comment! Hope you have a wonderful Friday!
